18:1 当时门徒进前来，问耶稣说，天国里谁是最大的。
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
18:2 耶稣便叫一个小孩子来，使他站在他们当中，
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
18:3 说，我实在告诉你们，你们若不回转，变成小孩子的样式，断不得进天国。
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 所以凡自己谦卑像这小孩子的，他在天国里就是最大的。
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
18:5 凡为我的名，接待一个像这小孩子的，就是接待我。
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
18:6 凡使这信我的一个小子跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在这人的颈项上，沉在深海里。
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
18:7 这世界有祸了，因为将人绊倒。绊倒人的事是免不了的，但那绊倒人的有祸了。
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
18:8 倘若你一只手，或是一只脚，叫你跌倒，就砍下来丢掉。你缺一只手，或是一只脚，进入永生，强如有两手两脚，被丢在永火里。
Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
18:9 倘若你一只眼叫你跌倒，就把他挖出来丢掉。你只有一只眼进入永生，强如有两只眼被丢在地狱的火里。
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
18:10 你们要小心，不可轻看这小子里的一个。我告诉你们，他们的使者在天上，常见我天父的面。（有古卷在此有
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
18:11 人子来为要拯救失丧的人）
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
18:12 一个人若有一百只羊，一只走迷了路，你们的意思如何。他岂不撇下这九十九只，往山里去找那只迷路的羊吗。
How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
18:13 若是找着了，我实在告诉你们，他为这一只羊欢喜，比为那没有迷路的九十九只欢喜还大呢。
And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
18:14 你们在天上的父，也是这样不愿意这小子里失丧一个。
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
18:15 倘若你的弟兄得罪你，你就去趁着只有他和你在一处的时候，指出他的错来。他若听你，你便得了你的弟兄。
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
18:16 他若不听，你就另外带一两个人同去，要凭两三个人的口作见证，句句都可定准。
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
18:17 若是不听他们，就告诉教会。若是不听教会，就看他像外邦人和税吏一样。
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
18:18 我实在告诉你们，凡你们在地上所捆绑的，在天上也要捆绑。凡你们在地上所释放的，在天上也要释放。
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
18:19 我又告诉你们，若是你们中间有两个人在地上，同心合意的求什么事，我在天上的父，必为他们成全。
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
18:20 因为无论在那里，有两三个人奉我的名聚会，那里有我在他们中间。
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
18:21 那时彼得进前来，对耶稣说，主阿，我弟兄得罪我，我当饶恕他几次呢。七次可以吗。
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
18:22 耶稣说，我对你说，不是到七次，乃是到七十个七次。
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
18:23 天国好像一个王，要和他仆人算账。
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
18:24 才算的时候，有人带了一个欠一千万银子的来。
And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
18:25 因为他没有偿还之物，主人吩咐把他和他妻子儿女，并一切所有的都卖了偿还。
But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
18:26 那仆人就俯伏拜他说，主阿，宽容我，将来我都要还清。
The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
18:27 那仆人的主人，就动了慈心，把他释放了，并且免了他的债。
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
18:28 那仆人出来，遇见他的一个同伴，欠他十两银子，便揪着他，掐住他的喉咙，说，你把所欠的还我。
But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
18:29 他的同伴就俯伏央求他，说，宽容我吧，将来我必还清。
And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
18:30 他不肯，竟去把他下在监里，等他还了所欠的债。
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
18:31 众同伴看见他所作的事，就甚忧愁，去把这事都告诉了主人。
So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
18:32 于是主人叫了他来，对他说，你这恶奴才，你央求我，我就把你所欠的都免了。
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
18:33 你不应当怜恤你的同伴像我怜恤你吗。
Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
18:34 主人就大怒，把他交给掌刑的，等他还清了所欠的债。
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
18:35 你们各人若不从心里饶恕你的弟兄，我天父也要这样待你们了。
So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
马太福音18参考
门徒竟为谁为大而争论不休；我们可会这样，常想为大吗？
18:1-4 耶稣知道门徒在路上谈论些甚么（参可9:33-34），所以藉著一个小孩来帮助自我中心的门徒去明白真理。我们不可幼稚，像门徒为一些琐事而争论，却要像小孩存著谦卑和真诚的心。你究竟是幼稚还是单纯呢？
古人说“高处不胜寒”，也许今天的人会说“高处正威风”？
18:3-4 门徒只想著要组织耶稣在地上的国度，以致看不见天国的神圣目标。他们寻求优胜的地位，而不是服事的机会。我们也非常容易失去永恒的眼光，在教会里争地位或提升的机会。要像软弱倚赖人的小孩子那样不去追求地位或影响力，真不容易！
谁是孩子所师的对象？谁是耶稣所托付的对象？
18:6 孩子很自然就会信靠别人，通过他们对成年人的信任，对神的信靠也就不断增加。作父母的跟成年人必要向神交代，他们怎样影响小孩子信靠神的心。耶稣警告说，任何人使一个小孩子失掉信心，都将要接受严重的惩罚。
曾经我也差点叫“小子”跌倒，在甚么情况下？
18:7-14 耶稣警告门徒可能在两方面会使“小子”跌倒犯罪：试探他们（18:7-9）；轻看或忽略他们（18:10-14）。作教会领袖的要帮助青年人和初信者，避免任何人或事使他们在信心上跌倒犯罪，千万不要轻忽年纪小和信心幼嫩的人，要给予他们属灵的教导和保护。
其实我很怕，心中好像有很多罪，很多……
18:8-9 要除去令我们犯罪的绊脚石，并不表示要切除身体的某部分，而是指任何教会里的人、物、程序或教导，若会威胁到整个教会的属灵成长，就必须除去。对个人来说，但凡任何会令我们犯罪的人际关系、习惯、活动都必须除去。耶稣说宁愿只有一只手或一只脚上天堂，也不要有健全的两手两脚下地狱。其实“罪”不单影响我们双手双脚，更影响我们的心思意念。
教、骂、打──管教孩子三部曲？在神的眼中，可不是这样 ……
18:10 我们关心小孩子，一定要配合神对待小孩子的方法。神派遣天使看顾小孩子，如果他们可以直接到神那里。但在我们的社会中，小孩子常遭轻视、忽略、嫌弃、甚至杀害（堕胎）。他们的天使常带他们到神那里，那我们最少也要做到让小孩子容易地亲近我们，尽管我们的工作十分繁忙。
耶稣在寻找他的羊，他们却听不到，你能帮忙做点甚么吗？
18:14 牧羊人必会关心迷失的羊，到山岭寻找它；同样神也关心他所创造的每一个人，他“不愿有一人沉沦”（彼后3:9）。家中、学校、教会或邻舍的小孩子都需要基督。让我们接触他们，藉著我们的榜样、说话和善良的行动，引领他们到神面前来吧！
在心中计较著别人的错，又不敢当面说清楚，反反覆覆，怎么办好……
18:15-17 这是耶稣给我们的指引，帮助我们面对攻击我们的人。这些人可能（1）是基督徒，而不是非信徒；（2）偏偏得罪你；（3）在教会中引起冲突纷争。耶稣说这话，并不是准许我们正面攻击每一个伤害或藐视我们的人，也不是准许我们在教会散播谣言或进行教会审讯，这些教训是为了使彼此不和的人能够和好，以至所有信徒都可以和睦共处。当人触犯了我们，我们往往会违反耶稣的吩咐，心中充满怒气和仇恨，要寻求报复或用言语来中伤触犯我们的人。但照主的吩咐，我们应该到那人那里去，一次又一次地原谅他（18:21-22）；这是极难做到的，但却让我们有更好的机会去建立良好的人际关系。
照这里所说，今生所做的决定，岂不是会影响到永生？
18:18 这里所说的捆绑与释放是指教会可在冲突中作出决定。教会的决定理应是由神来作的，根据他的话语而作判断。信徒并没有教会以外的其他上诉法庭，所以，信徒有责任把他们的问题带到教会，而教会则有责任根据神的引导寻找解决矛盾冲突的方法，按著神的原则去处理问题，这将会影响现在和永恒。
有所祈求，自然想耶稣成就；我所求的，是为自己，还是……
18:19-20 耶稣展望将来有新的一天，那时他不再是藉著肉身出现，乃是透过他的圣灵与信徒同在，在信徒的身体──教会里，两个人真诚地呼应联系，比千万人表面上的妥协更有能力，因为基督的圣灵与他们同在。两三个充满圣灵的信徒会按著神的旨意祈求，而不是按著他们自己的心意祈求，这样他们的祈求就必蒙应允。
饶恕果真是这般容易？扪心自问，你做到了多少？
18:22 拉比教导犹太人应当饶恕那些得罪自己的人，但只限于三次。彼得希望有更突出的善良，就问耶稣饶恕别人七次是否足够，而七是代表完全的数字；但耶稣回答：“七十个七次”，意思是我们不要计较饶恕人多少次，不管别人要求多少次饶恕，只要是真诚悔改的，我们就应饶恕他们。
那时的人，欠债不能偿，后果可真坎坷……
18:30 当时，人若欠债又不能偿还，其后果是严重的：债主可以强迫他和他的家人做工，直至债务还清；欠债人也可能被关在牢里，或者他的家人可能被卖为奴隶，以帮助还债。除非欠债人在坐牢时变卖一切，或者亲属帮他付清债款，否则他可能要一辈子坐牢。
不是不想饶恕，只是内心总有点甚么，不能释然……你有甚么办法？
18:35 因为神已经宽恕了我们所有的罪，我们不应该不肯宽恕别人。既知道基督完全赦免我们，我们就可以自由地以宽容的态度去饶恕别人。不肯饶恕别人的，就是自高，并把自己置于基督的慈爱律法以外了。
