16:1 耶稣又对门徒说，有一个财主的管家。别人向他主人告他浪费主人的财物。
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
16:2 主人叫他来，对他说，我听见你这事怎吗样呢。把你所经管的交待明白。因你不能再作我的管家。
And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
16:3 那管家心里说，主人辞我，不用我再作管家，我将来作什么。锄地呢，无力。讨饭呢，怕羞。
Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
16:4 我知道怎吗行，好叫人在我不作管家之后，接我到他们家里去。
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
16:5 于是把欠主人债的，一个一个的叫了来，问头一个说，你欠我主人多少。
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
16:6 他说，一百篓油。每篓约五十斤管家说，拿你的账快坐下写五十。
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
16:7 又问一个说，你欠多少。他说，一百石麦子。管家说，拿你的账写八十。
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
16:8 主人就夸奖这不义的管家作事聪明。因为今世之子，在世事之上，较比光明之子，更加聪明。
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
16:9 我又告诉你们，要籍着那不义的钱财，结交朋友。到了钱财无用的时候，他们可以接你们到永存的帐幕里去。
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
16:10 人在最小的事上忠心，在大事上也忠心。在最小的事上不义，在大事上也不义。
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
16:11 倘若你们在不义的钱财上不忠心，谁还把那真实的钱财托付你们呢。
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
16:12 倘若你们在别人的东西上不忠心，谁还把你们自己的东西给你们呢。
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
16:13 一个仆人不能事奉两个主。不是恶这个爱那个，就是重这个轻那个。你们不能又事奉神，又事奉玛门。
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
16:14 法利赛人是贪爱钱财的，他们听见这一切话，就嗤笑耶稣。
And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
16:15 耶稣对他们说，你们是在人面前自称为义的。你们的心，神却知道。因为人所尊贵的是神看为可憎恶的。
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16:16 律法和先知，到约翰为止。从此神国的福音传开了，人人努力要进去。
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
16:17 天地废去，较比律法的一点一画落空还容易。
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
16:18 凡休妻另娶的，就是犯奸淫。娶被休之妻的，也是犯奸淫。
Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
16:19 有一个财主，穿着紫色袍和细麻布衣服，天天奢华宴乐。
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
16:20 又有一个讨饭的，名叫拉撒路，浑身生疮，被人放在财主门口，
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
16:21 要得财主桌子上掉下来的零碎充饥。并且狗来舔他的疮。
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
16:22 后来那讨饭的死，被天使放在亚伯拉罕的怀里。财主也死了，并且埋葬了。
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
16:23 他在阴间受痛苦，举目远远的望见亚伯拉罕，又望见拉撒路在他怀里。
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
16:24 就喊着说，我祖亚伯拉罕哪，可怜我吧，打发拉撒路来，用指头尖蘸点水，凉凉我的舌头。因为我在这火焰里，极其痛苦。
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
16:25 亚伯拉罕说，儿阿，你该回想你生前享过福，拉撒路也受过苦。如今他在这里得安慰，你倒受痛苦。
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
16:26 不但这样，并且在你我之间，有深渊限定，以致人要从这边过到你们那边，是不能的，要从那边过到我们这边，也是不能的。
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
16:27 财主说，我祖阿，既是这样，求你打发拉撒路到我父家去。
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
16:28 因为我还有五个弟兄。他可以对他们作见证，免得他们也来到这痛苦的地方。
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
16:29 亚伯拉罕说，他们有摩西和先知的话，可以听从。
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
16:30 他说，我祖亚伯拉罕哪，不是的。若有一个从死里复活的，到他们那里去的，他们必要悔改。
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
16:31 亚伯拉罕说，若不听从摩西和先知的话，就是有一个从死里复活的，他们也是不听劝。
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
路加福音16参考
那个管家其实很不义，不明白神要用此说明甚么？是关于……
16:1-8 如何理解这难解的故事，以下是其中几个解释：（1）不要浪费你所有的金钱财富，因为它是属于神而不是属于你的；（2）钱可以用来作善事或恶事，你要用你的钱来作善事；（3）钱具有很大的力量，因此你要小心谨慎地使用；（4）我们必须好好地使用我们钱财，来孕育我们的信心和顺服的心（参12:33-34）。
干大事嘛，何理小节？只在大事上忠心不就可以吗？
16:10-11 神呼召我们即使在小事上、在一些我们很容易便可以解释过去的事情上也要诚实。天上的财富远较地上的钱财珍贵，但假如我们不能忠诚地处理地上的钱财（不论我们有多少），我们便不配处理神国中无穷尽的财富。在小事上不失去你的忠实，在大事上你也不会失败。
你很会运用金钱，也珍惜它，如果有一天，神要你变卖家财分给穷人，你可舍得？
16:13 金钱有能力取代神在你生命中的地位。如何分辨自己究竟是不是金钱的奴隶呢：（1）你是否经常为金钱担忧？（2）你是否为了有更多金钱而放弃做你应该做或喜欢做的事情呢？（3）你是否经常为你所拥有的东西发愁？（4）你是否很不愿意把钱施舍出去？（5）你是否欠债？金钱是一个刻薄的主人，也是靠不住的。金钱能够给你权力，也能把你的心牢牢抓住。你可以在一夜之间得到或失去一大笔财富，任何数目的金钱都不能给你健康、喜乐或永恒的生命。让神作你的主人就好多了，他的仆人现在和永远都有平安的心灵和保障。
我会专心事奉神，也想要金钱，不会不可能吧？耶稣所讲的也太绝对了……
16:14 法利赛人喜爱金钱，不同意耶稣的教导。我们也喜爱金钱，我们是否也嘲笑耶稣所说的有关事奉金钱的警告？我们是否把这警告只用在别人身上？除非我们认真听取耶稣的话，否则我们自己也会像法利赛人一样。
有虔诚就有人家的赞美，你会如我一样，“努力”在人前表现得好一点？
16:15 法利赛人装作虔诚以博取别人的赞赏，但神知道他们心里想些甚么。你的属灵表现是真的呢，还是只想引人注意呢？要记著，神厌恶人装假。
神的路与别不同，连对婚姻的看法也与世间不同，你预备好走这样的一条路没有？
16:18 在耶稣的时代，大多数宗教领袖都容许男人以任何理由跟妻子离婚。耶稣的话超越摩西所说的话（参申24:1-4），比当时流行的任何一派的观念都严格，他的话叫听众震惊（参太19:10），就如叫今天的读者震惊一样。耶稣清楚明确地说明结婚是终生的委身，你为了另一个人离开你的配偶，虽然得到律法的允许，但在神眼中却是奸淫。当你想到婚姻，就要牢记神把它看作是永恒的盟约。
穷人得福，富人衰败，故事总是这样发展的；可是谁得福谁衰败的真正关键却是……
16:19-31 法利赛人认为财富是公义的证明，耶稣这个故事叫他们惊讶。一个患病的乞丐得到奖赏，一个财主受罚。财主下地狱，不是因他的财富，而是因为自私，他没有给拉撒路食物。尽管他得到很大的祝福，但心却是硬的。我们如何用钱，远较我们有多少钱重要。富有的人可能是慷慨或是吝啬的，穷人也一样。你对所拥有的财富抱甚么态度呢？是自私地留给自己还是用它们来帮助别人？这个拉撒路不是约翰福音十一章里耶稣叫他从死里复活的那个拉撒路。
人心顽固，见了神迹又如何？是耶稣没有给人机会？或是……
16:29-31 这个财主以为他的兄弟必定相信一位从死里复活的使者，但耶稣说，若他们不信摩西和先知的话（他们常说要关心穷苦的人），就是一个从死里复活的人也不能叫他们相信。注意，耶稣的话里预示了他自己从死里复活之后，大多数的宗教领袖仍然不会接受他。他们的思想冥顽不灵，就是圣灵或神的儿子也不能改变他们。
