87:1 （可拉后裔的诗歌）耶和华所立的根基在圣山上。
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
87:2 他爱锡安的门，胜于爱雅各一切的住处。
The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
87:3 神的城阿，有荣耀的事乃指着你说的。（细拉）
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
87:4 我要提起拉哈伯，和巴比伦人是在认识我之中的，看哪，非利士，和推罗，并古实人，个个生在那里。
I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
87:5 论到锡安必说，这一个那一个都生在其中。而且至高者必亲自坚立这城。
And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

锡安山并不巍峨险峻，何以这样出名？
87篇 锡安（圣山，耶路撒冷）和它的圣殿代表了未来信徒的群体。这首诗预见到了在启示录21章10至27节中描述的神的圣城。在那里居住的荣耀将给予在羔羊生命册上有名的人（参启21:10-27）。这一美好群体的形成和存在是神的恩典。人怎能拒绝神邀请我们参加这庆典呢？
