82:1 （亚萨的诗）神站在有权力者的会中。在诸神中行审判。
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
82:2 说，你们审判不秉公义，徇恶人的情面，要到几时呢。（细拉）
How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
82:3 你们当为贫寒的人和孤儿伸冤。当为困苦和穷乏的人施行公义。
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
82:4 当保护贫寒和穷乏的人，救他们脱离恶人的手。
Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
82:5 你们仍不知道，也不明白，在黑暗中走来走去。地的根基都摇动了。
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
82:6 我曾说，你们是神，都是至高者的儿子。
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
82:7 然而你们要死，与世人一样。要仆倒，像王子中的一位。
But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
82:8 神阿，求你起来，审判世界。因为你要得万邦为业。
Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

人被神称为神，是甚么意思？
82:6 这首诗称以色列的统治者及士师为“神”和“神的儿子”。他们被称为神是因为他们在执行审判中代表了神。在约翰福音10章34至36节中记载说，耶稣用这些经文来为他自称是神的儿子辩护。耶稣的论点是：如果神都称人为“神”，为甚么对他而言就是侮辱神呢？他是真神的儿子，说自己与神等同又有甚么不可呢？
