81:1 （亚萨的诗，交与伶长，用迦特乐器）你们当向神我们的力量大声欢呼，向雅各的神发声欢乐，
Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
81:2 唱起诗歌，打手鼓，弹美琴与瑟。
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
81:3 当在月朔，并月望，我们过节的日期，吹角。
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
81:4 因这是为以色列定的律例，是雅各神的典章。
For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
81:5 他去攻击埃及地的时候，在约瑟中间立此为证。我在那里听见我所不明白的言语。
This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
81:6 神说，我使你的肩得脱重担，你的手放下筐子。
I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
81:7 你在急难中呼求，我就搭救你。我在雷的隐密处应允你，在米利巴水那里试验你。（细拉）
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
81:8 我的民哪，你当听。我要劝戒你。以色列阿，甚愿你肯听从我。
Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
81:9 在你当中不可有别的神。外邦的神，你也不可下拜。
There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
81:10 我是耶和华你的神，曾把你从埃及地领上来。你要大大张口，我就给你充满。
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
81:11 无奈我的民不听我的声音。以色列全不理我。
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
81:12 我便任凭他们心里刚硬，随自己的计谋而行。
So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
81:13 甚愿我的民肯听从我，以色列肯行我的道。
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
81:14 我便速速治服他们的仇敌，反手攻击他们的敌人。
I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
81:15 恨耶和华的人必来投降，但他的百姓，必永久长存。
The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
81:16 他也必拿上好的麦子给他们吃。有拿从磐石出的蜂蜜，叫他们饱足。
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

假日吗？多多益善！意义？……
81:1-5 以色列的节日提醒该民族神的伟大神迹。这些节日是欢乐的时刻，也是每个人获得每日属灵争战力量的更新时刻。在圣诞节里我们的思念是围绕著礼物吗？复活节仅是进入温暖的春天吗？感恩节只是一顿美食吗？我们要记住这些特殊日子的属灵本意。让它们成为我们敬拜神的机会，并感谢神对我们、家庭和国家的美意。
唱诗和唱流行歌曲不是一样的吗？都是音乐而已……
81:2-4 大卫为圣殿的敬拜作了曲（参代上25章）。音乐和敬拜是相得益彰的。敬拜需要人全面投入，而音乐则有助于升华人对神的思想感情。通过音乐我们可以反省我们的需要和短处，并歌颂神的伟大。
有时我做错了事，神也没有管教我，他不是不理我吧……
81:11-12 以色列百姓并没有去顺服和追求神的旨意，结果神就让他们盲目、固执、自私地走下去。神有时候让我们固执下去，好让我们有所察觉。神要我们了解到罪的后果，所以神不会阻止我们的反抗。神要使用这些经历来使人们脱离更大的罪，并对神有信心。
81:13-16 神在约中规定，如果百姓听从并归向神，神就使他们复兴（参出23:22-27；利26:3-13；申7:12-26；28:1-14）。
