24:1 地和其中所充满的，世界和住在其间的，都属耶和华。
The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
24:2 他把地建立在海上，安定在大水之上。
For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
24:3 谁能登耶和华的山。谁能站在他的圣所。
Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
24:4 就是手洁心清，不向虚妄，起誓不怀诡诈的人。
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
24:5 他必蒙耶和华赐福，又蒙救他的神使他成义。
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
24:6 这是寻求耶和华的族类，是寻求你面的雅各（细拉）。
This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
24:7 众城门哪，你们要抬起头来。永久的门户，你们要被举起。那荣耀的王将要进来。
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
24:8 荣耀的王是谁呢。就是有力有能的耶和华，在战场上有能的耶和华。
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
24:9 众城门哪，你们要抬起头来。永久的门户，你们要把头抬起。那荣耀的王将要进来。
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

24篇 这篇诗歌可能是为了庆祝将约柜从俄别以东家运回耶路撒冷而作的（参撒下6:10-12）。传统上这篇诗歌是在每周第一天殿内敬拜时唱的。1至6节告诉我们谁有资格参加这样的庆祝敬拜。
地上一切，都属耶和华；那么我该怀一种甚么样的观点看世界？
24:1 “地属耶和华”，我们所有人都是管家或看守人，我们当忠心妥善地管理这个世界和其中的资源。不过这个世界终要过去，我们不要崇拜受造之物，或者好像自己是其独占者（参约一2:17）。
不随便起誓，这我知道，也不会做──为己利益，稍有掩饰一下？这……
24:4 以假的东西发誓意味著在誓言中说谎。神珍重的是诚实！当彻底的真诚要求我们负出代价，令我们感到很不舒服，或处在不利的光景中时，我们的不诚实一下子就来了。不真诚的交通妨碍双方的关系，没有真诚，我们同神就无法建立关系。我们如果向别人撒谎，我们便开始自欺欺人了。如果这么做的话，神是不可能垂听我们或向我们说话的。
荣耀之王在哪里？他已经来了吗？
24:7 谁是荣耀的君王？荣耀的君王也叫主人的主，或天军统帅，就是弥赛亚自己。他是永恒的、圣洁和至高无上的。这首诗不仅是为教会的战斗呼喊，也是在盼望基督将来进入新耶路撒冷永久掌权（参启19:11-21）。

24:7-10 这首诗通常被谱曲，大概在敬拜中使用。在圣殿中也许它被多次重复过，要进殿的人冲著殿门喊开门，让君王的荣耀进来。站在里面的祭司或其他的人会问：“那荣耀的君王是谁？”外面的人就会同声回应说：“那强大无比的主，那争战中的主宰。”这完全是在宣扬神的大权柄和力量。然后是重复轮唱（24:9-10），最后殿门荡开象徵著人们渴望有神的同在。这些对参加的儿童是重要的教导。
