12:1 耶和华阿，求你帮助，因虔诚人断绝了。世人中间的忠信人没有了。
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
12:2 人人向邻舍说谎。他们说话，是嘴唇油滑，心口不一。
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
12:3 凡油滑的嘴唇，和夸大的舌头，耶和华必要剪除。
The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
12:4 他们曾说，我们必能以舌头得胜。我们的嘴唇是我们自己的。谁能作我们主呢。
Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
12:5 耶和华说，因为困苦人的冤屈，和贫穷人的叹息，我现在要起来，把他安置在他所切慕的稳妥之地。
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
12:6 耶和华的言语，是纯净的言语。如同银子在泥炉中炼过七次。
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
12:7 耶和华阿，你必保护他们。你必保佑他们永远脱离这世代的人。
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
12:8 下流人在世人中升高，就有恶人到处游行。
The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
诗篇12参考
怎么做来做去只自己一个？他们都哪里去了？我，可不可以也停下来？
12:1 在这个诡诈的世界中为神而活，实在会令我们感到自己是孤军作战，但要记住，伟大的先知以利亚也曾因为感到孤单而想死去，可是神告诉他，另外还有七千个忠心的人（参王上19:4, 14, 18）。在对抗罪恶的争战中，我们绝不孤单。当你感到孤单时，去找找其他信徒，从他们身上你可以得到力量和支持。
谎言所带来的破坏力，往往会超越我能力所控制的范围……
12:2-4 我们可能被试诱相信谎言有时无害，甚至“有益”，但是神却没有忽视欺骗、谄媚、夸张和谎话。这些都是源于一个罪恶的心态，结果从我们说话中表达出来。舌头能成为我们最大的敌人，因为它虽然微小，却能产生极大的破坏（参雅3:5），要小心谨慎地勒住我们的舌头。
虚浮的言语，教人厌倦；真诚的话，还有吗？
12:6 真诚和忠实是极为宝贵的，因为那都是罕有人能完全做到的。许多人是骗子、说谎者、奉承者；他们以为藉著诡诈可以得到想要的东西。作为一个君王，大卫肯定常常面对这类人，他们希望讨大卫的欢心，或想藉著阿谀奉承而争取高位。虽然有时我们感到真诚和忠实似乎已经不存在了，但我们还有一个盼望──神的话语。神的话语像精练的银子一样纯正，因此当他说话时，要留心聆听。
