114:1 以色列出了埃及，雅各家离开说异言之民。
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
114:2 那时，犹大为主的圣所，以色列为他所治理的国度。
Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
114:3 沧海看见就奔逃。约旦河也倒流。
The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
114:4 大山踊跃，如公羊。小山跳舞，如羊羔。
The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
114:5 沧海阿，你为何奔逃。约旦哪，你为何倒流。
What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
114:6 大山哪，你为何踊跃，如公羊。小山哪，你为何跳舞，如羊羔。
Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
114:7 大地阿，你因见主的面，就是雅各神的面，便要震动。
Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
114:8 他叫磐石变为水池，叫坚石变为泉源。
Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

大地见主，敬而震动；我见主面，又会如何？
114:7 当神在西奈山上赐下律法时，整座山都在神的面前颤抖。我们虽然拥有最先进的科技，但海洋，河流和山脉对我们仍然是可怕的挑战。不过对于神来说，这些都算不上甚么。我们观看碧海浪涛、千山叠嶂的时候，要想到神的伟大和荣耀远远超出了我们所能看见的自然奇迹。“因见主的面……便要震动”的意思是，我们认识到神完全的权柄、能力以及我们相形见绌的脆弱。
