8:1 耶和华说，到那时，人必将犹大王的骸骨和他首领的骸骨，祭司的骸骨，先知的骸骨，并耶路撒冷居民的骸骨，都从坟墓中取出来，
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
8:2 抛散在日头，月亮，和天上众星之下，就是他们从前所喜爱，所事奉，所随从，所求问，所敬拜的。这些骸骨不再收殓，不再葬埋，必在地面上成为粪土。
And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
8:3 并且这恶族所剩下的民在我所赶他们到的各处，宁可拣死不拣生。这是万军之耶和华说的。
And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
8:4 你要对他们说，耶和华如此说，人跌倒，不再起来吗。人转去，不再转来吗。
Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
8:5 这耶路撒冷的民，为何恒久背道呢。他们守定诡诈，不肯回头。
Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
8:6 我留心听，听见他们说不正直的话。无人悔改恶行，说，我作的是什么呢。他们各人转奔己路，如马直闯战场。
I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.
8:7 空中的鹳鸟知道来去的定期。斑鸠燕子与白鹤也守候当来的时令。我的百姓却不知道耶和华的法则。
Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8:8 你们怎吗说，我们有智慧，耶和华的律法在我们这里。看哪，文士的假笔舞弄虚假。
How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
8:9 智慧人惭愧，惊惶，被擒拿。他们弃掉耶和华的话，心里还有什么智慧呢。
The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
8:10 所以我必将他们的妻子给别人，将他们的田地给别人为业。因为他们从最小的到至大的都一味地贪婪，从先知到祭司都行事虚谎。
Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
8:11 他们轻轻忽忽地医治我百姓的损伤，说，平安了。平安了。其实没有平安。
For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
8:12 他们行可憎的事知道惭愧吗。不然，他们毫不惭愧，也不知羞耻。因此他们必在仆倒的人中仆倒。我向他们讨罪的时候，他们必致跌倒。这是耶和华说的。
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
8:13 耶和华说，我必使他们全然灭绝。葡萄树上必没有葡萄，无花果树上必没有果子，叶子也必枯乾。我所赐给他们的，必离开他们过去。
I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
8:14 我们为何静坐不动呢。我们当聚集，进入坚固城，在那里静默不言。因为耶和华我们的神使我们静默不言，又将苦胆水给我们喝，都因我们得罪了耶和华。
Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
8:15 我们指望平安，却得不着好处。指望痊愈的时候，不料，受了惊惶。
We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
8:16 听见从但那里敌人的马喷鼻气，他的壮马发嘶声，全地就都震动。因为他们来吞灭这地和其上所有的，吞灭这城与其中的居民。
The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
8:17 看哪，我必使毒蛇到你们中间，是不服法术的，必咬你们。这是耶和华说的。
For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
8:18 我有忧愁，愿能自慰。我心在我里面发昏。
When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
8:19 听阿，是我百姓的哀声从极远之地而来，说，耶和华不在锡安吗。锡安的王不在其中吗。耶和华说，他们为什么以雕刻的偶像和外邦虚无的神惹我发怒呢。
Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
8:20 麦秋已过，夏令已完，我们还未得救。
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
8:21 先知说，因我百姓的损伤，我也受了损伤。我哀痛，惊惶将我抓住。
For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.
8:22 在基列岂没有乳香呢。在那里岂没有医生呢。我百姓为何不得痊愈呢。
Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
耶利米书8参考
犹大人所敬拜的天体，一点都不能挽救他们要暴尸荒野的下场 ……
8:1-2 对极其重视安葬的犹大人来说，死后骸骨暴露于日光之下、坟墓被人掘开，是最大的耻辱、最可怕的下场。那些拜偶像的人以为所奉之神会保护他们，若他们的骸骨被抛弃在他们所膜拜的太阳、月亮和星星之下，对他们而言实在是极大的讽刺和惩罚。
路行错了却不回头，反而加速前奔，人陷溺于罪中也像这样……
8:4-6 一个人摔倒了，就要爬起来；走错了方向，就要回头重走，这才是合理的做法。但是，神看见城里的百姓虽生活在罪中，他们却自欺说不会招致恶果。他们企图掩饰自己的罪，更看不见神对他们的旨意。你有没有摔倒或走错方向？你采取甚么行动来改正并重返正途呢？
巴比伦来袭是从北方入侵，哪一个位处北方的支派会首当其冲？
8:16 但支派是地处以色列最北部的支派。
耶利米心中的忧愁是因何而发？
8:18 耶利米哀求神拯救百姓。
先知虽肩负宣告神的审判之责，却对同胞满怀悲情。现代的传道者是否有此心怀？
8:20-22 这些文字生动地刻画出耶利米为百姓抗拒神而黯然神伤的心情。目睹百姓在罪中一步一步逼近死亡，他哀恸叹息。今天我们所见的情景与昔日无异，世人仍是顽梗地抗拒神，在罪中步向灭亡。我们曾否为此动心？或为自己的亲人、朋友和这迷失的世界感到心痛难过呢？我们只有像耶利米那样悲悯世人，才会受感伸出援手。因此，要真正服事世人，第一步要做的，就是求主赐我们悲悯之怀，为他所爱的世人哀伤痛惜。
我那些因罪而来的创伤，神仍愿意医治，为何我不去寻求他？
8:22 基列以盛产有治疗功效的乳香闻名。这节经文全用反诘来问，答案不言而喻是“当然有！”但以色列人却不肯敷用“乳香”，不遵守耶和华的吩咐。这些百姓的灵性问题虽已到病入膏肓的地步，但是还有痊愈的机会，可惜他们拒绝用药。尽管神有能力治好他们自己弄破的伤口，却不想强迫他们接受他的治疗。
