5:1 这事以后,到了犹太的一个节期。耶稣就上耶路撒冷去。

After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

5:2 在耶路撒冷,靠近羊门,有一个池子,希伯来话叫作毕士大,旁边有五个廊子。

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

5:3 里面躺着瞎眼的,瘸腿的,血气枯乾的,许多病人。(有古卷在此有等候水动

In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

5:4 因为有天使按时下池搅动那水,水动之后,谁先下去,无论什么病,就痊愈了)。

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5:5 在那里有一个人,病了三十八年。

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

5:6 耶稣看见他躺着,知道他病了许久,就问他说,你要痊愈吗。

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

5:7 病人回答说,先生,水动的时候,没有人把我放在池子里。我正去的时候,就有别人比我先下去。

The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

5:8 耶稣对他说,起来,拿你的褥子走吧。

Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

5:9 那人立刻痊愈,就拿起褥子走了。

And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

5:10 那天是安息日,所以犹太人对那医好的人说,今天是安息日,你拿褥子是不可以的。

The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

5:11 他却回答说,那使我痊愈的,对我说,拿你的褥子走吧。

He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

5:12 他们问他说,对你说拿褥子走的,是什么人。

Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

5:13 那医好的人不知道是谁。因为那里的人多,耶稣已经躲开了。

And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

5:14 后来耶稣在殿里遇见他,对他说,你已经痊愈了。不要再犯罪。恐怕你遭遇的更加利害。

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

5:15 那人就去告诉犹太人,使他痊愈的是耶稣。

The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

5:16 所以犹太人逼迫耶稣,因为他在安息日作了这事。

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

5:17 耶稣就对他们说,我父作事到如今,我也作事。

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

5:18 所以犹太人越发想要杀他。因他不但犯了安息日,并且称神为他的父,将自己和神当作平等。

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

5:19 耶稣对他们说,我实实在在的告诉你们,子凭着自己不能作什么,惟有看见父所作的,子才能作。父所作的事,子也照样作。

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

5:20 爱子,将自己所作的一切事指给他看。还要将比这更大的事指给他看,叫你们希奇。

For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

5:21 父怎样叫死人起来,使他们活着,子也照样随自己的意思使人活着。

For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

5:22 父不审判什么人,乃将审判的事全交与子。

For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

5:23 叫人都尊敬子,如同尊敬父一样。不尊敬子的,就是不尊敬差子来的父。

That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

5:24 我实实在在的告诉你们,那听我话,又信差我来者的,就有永生,不至于定罪,是已经出死入生了。

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

5:25 我实实在在的告诉你们,时候将到,现在就是了,死人要听见神儿子的声音。听见的人就要活了。

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

5:26 因为父怎样在自己有生命,就赐给他儿子也照样在自己有生命。

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

5:27 并且因为他是人子,就赐给他行审判的权柄。

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

5:28 你们不要把这事看作希奇。时候要到,凡在坟墓里的,都要听见他的声音,就出来。

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

5:29 行善的复活得生,作恶的复活定罪。

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

5:30 我凭着自己不能作什么。我怎吗听见,就怎吗审判。我的审判也是公平的。因为我不求自己的意思,只求那差我来者的意思。

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

5:31 我若为自己作见证,我的见证就不真。

If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

5:32 另有一位给我作见证。我也知道他给我作的见证是真的。

There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

5:33 你们曾差人到约翰那里,他为真理作过见证。

Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

5:34 其实我所受的见证,不是从人来的。然而我说这些话,为要叫你们得救。

But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.

5:35 约翰是点着的明灯。你们情愿暂时喜欢他的光。

He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

5:36 但我有比约翰更大的见证。因为父交给我要我成就的事,就是我所作的事,这便见证我是父所差来的。

But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

5:37 差我来的父,也为我作过见证。你们从来没有听见他的声音,也没有看见他的形像。

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

5:38 你们并没有他的道存在心里。因为他所差来的,你们不信。

And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

5:39 你们查考圣经。(或作应当查考圣经)因你们以为内中有永生。给我作见证的就是这经。

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

5:40 然而你们不肯到我这里来得生命。

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

5:41 我不受从人来的荣耀。

I receive not honour from men.

5:42 但我知道你们心里,没有神的爱。

But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

5:43 我奉我父的名来,你们并不接待我。若有别人奉自己的名来,你们倒要接待他。

I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

5:44 你们要互相受荣耀,却不求从独一之神来的荣耀,怎能信我呢。

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

5:45 不要想我在父面前要告你们。有一位告你们的,就是你们所仰赖的摩西。

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

5:46 你们如果信摩西,也必信我。因为他书上有指着我写的话。

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

5:47 你们若不信他的书,怎能信我的话呢。

But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

约翰福音5参考

在节期时耶路撒冷定有很多人,有原因的……
5:1 所有犹太男子每年都要上耶路撒冷去守三个节期:(1)逾越节和无酵节;(2)五旬节(即七七节);(3)住棚节。

千疮百孔的内心,谁去修补?耶稣问你“你要痊愈吗?”,你的回应是……
5:6 这个人病了三十八年,从没有人能医治他,他自己对康复也不存甚么盼望,更无法自救,在绝望中,耶稣帮助他,使他痊愈。你失意时,不论感到多么无助,耶稣总可以照顾你内心深处的需要。不要让任何困难或挫折令你失去盼望,即使环境恶劣,神总有他的美意。

拿著褥子走路也不对?法利赛人所用的标准真奇怪……
5:10 法利赛人认为在安息日拿著褥子走路是做工,是违反律法的。事实上,这样做并没有违反律法,只是违反了法利赛人的规条,他们对“当记念安息日,守为圣日”(出20:8)的吩咐,加上了自己的解释。

法利赛人关心自己的规条,你觉得太古板了;你做事是关心人多些?关心成效多一些?
5:10 对于这个病了三十八年的人能够获得治愈,法利赛人所关心的是那些琐碎的规条,而不是病得痊愈,他们看重规条,而不看重人的生命。我们很容易被人为的规条和条例所蒙蔽,忽略规条和条例所涉及到的人。你生活的准则是属神的,还是人为的呢?这些准则是能帮助别人呢?还是变成不必要的绊脚石?

人所关心的多是可以看见的肉身问题,耶稣关心的可大不同,有啥不同你知道吗?
5:14 这个曾经有残疾的人,现在突然能够走路,固然是一个伟大的神迹,然而他需要一个更大的神迹──罪得赦免。他为身体得痊愈而高兴,但更需要在灵命上也得到医治。神赦罪的恩典是你所能得到的最大礼物,千万不要忽视!

法利赛人只看规条的遵守与否,对信仰的认识只限于此,你不会如他们一般见识吧……
5:16 叫瘸子能走路确实是一个伟大的神迹,但犹太人领袖只看到安息日条例被人违背了,他们认为规条较神迹更重要。神随时会在我们生命中成就大事,但我们往往由于眼光狭隘而看不见神所行的神迹。

当守安息日,那我们就甚么都不做,在家里睡觉吧……
5:16 如果神在安息日停止所有的工作,一切就会陷入混乱中,罪就全然控制世界了。神在第七天休息(参创2:2),并不代表他停止做美事。纵然在安息日,遇到行善的机会,也不能置之不理。

法利赛人明明看见了耶稣所行的,却定意不信;你也“看到听到”他,你……
5:17-30 耶稣自认与父神同等,无疑是自称为神。他不容许我们相信神却否认神的儿子(5:23)。法利赛人称神为父,但耶稣宣称自己与神有独特的关系。面对耶稣,法利赛人只有两个选择:相信他,或控告他犯了亵渎的罪,可惜他们选择了后者。

人都说神的旨意是最好的,我时常寻求,但如何才可以明白他要我怎样做呢?
5:19-23 耶稣与神合而为一,照神的旨意而活;同样我们与耶稣认同,也必尊敬他并照他的旨意而活。我们可以藉著两个问题:“耶稣会怎样做?”、“耶稣希望我怎样做?”来帮助自己作出正确选择。

信耶稣仍要面对死亡,你,怕死吗?是有太多舍不得?或是……
5:24 当你接受耶稣基督为救主,便得著永生──与神永远活在一起。由那一刻开始,你就有了新生命(参林后5:17)。你仍会面对肉身的死亡,但耶稣再来时,你的身体将会复活,永远与神同在(参林前15章)。

死人已死,如何可以听?你明白耶稣所说的死人是指……
5:25 “死人”是指灵性上已死的人,他们要听见、明白、接受耶稣(道)而得永生。耶稣也论到肉身的死亡,他在世上时曾叫死人复活;他再来时,所有“在基督里死了的人”(帖前4:16)都要复活,与主相遇。

如果没有主,我……如果离了你,我……
5:26 神是生命的源头,是创造者,无论现在或将来离了他就没有生命,我们的生命是他所赐的(参申30:20;诗36:9)。由于耶稣与创造者永远同在,他也就是生命(参14:6),藉著他我们可得永恒的生命(参约壹5:11)。

弥赛亚来的时候有三个兆头,不妨猜猜你自己知道多少?
5:27 旧约中,有三个弥赛亚来临的兆头,约翰表明耶稣已成就了这三个兆头。作为神的儿子,耶稣承受一切的能力和权柄(参5:27;但7:13-14);瘸腿的、患病的得医治(参5:20, 26;赛35:6;耶31:8-9);死人复活(参5:21-28;申32:39;撒上2:6;王下5:7)。

中国有一句老话“人死如灯灭”,很多人因此只看重今生的日子,你的看法是……
5:29 敌对基督的人同样复活,但他们会被神审判定罪,永远与神隔绝。许多人只希望在世上活得开心而忽略神,只把“死亡”看作人生的终结。耶稣要让他们知道,死后还有审判。

他是生命源,他赐人永生,你道他是谁?
5:31-40 耶稣自称与神平等(5:18)、能赐人永生(5:24)、是生命的源头(5:26)并审判罪人(5:27),这些都清楚说明耶稣就是神,这似乎是难以相信的宣称,却有施洗约翰为此作见证。

圣经话语,你好像知道很多,也明白了很多,只是不晓得你看它是一堆知识还是……
5:39-40 宗教领袖知道圣经所说的一切,却不能把圣经的话语应用在生活上;知道经文的教训,却看不到经文所指的弥赛亚;知道规条,却忽略了救主。他们沉迷于自己的宗教系统,拒绝让神的儿子改变自己的生命。不要让自己沉迷于“宗教”而忽略了基督。

人家的赞美,好;神的喜悦,也好;只是好像前者比较实际,所以我……
5:41 你渴求谁的荣耀呢?宗教领袖在以色列享有崇高的地位,耶稣却毫不重视这等荣耀,只注重神所赐予的荣耀,这是一个重要的原则。即使世上最高的统治者赞许我们的作为,如果神不悦纳,也于我们无益;相反,神赞许我们,纵使其他人不以为然,我们仍然可以满足。

法利赛人有他们所守的一套,且以之为荣,今天你以何事为荣?会为了自己而忘掉神吗?
5:45 法利赛人一直以作为祖先摩西的忠实信徒为荣,对于摩西的每一条律例,都紧紧地遵从其字面意思,甚至自己加上一些规条。耶稣说摩西会控告他们,必然叫他们发盛怒。摩西预言过耶稣(参创3:15;民21:9;24:17;申18:15),但耶稣来时,这些宗教领袖却拒绝相信他。
