42:1 约伯回答耶和华说,
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
42:2 我知道,你万事都能做。你的旨意不能拦阻。
I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
42:3 谁用无知的言语,使你的旨意隐藏呢。我所说的,是我不明白的。这些事太奇妙,是我不知道的。
Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
42:4 求你听我,我要说话。我问你,求你指示我。
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
42:5 我从前风闻有你,现在亲眼看见你。
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
42:6 因此我厌恶自己,(自己或作我的言语)在尘土和炉灰中懊悔。
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
42:7 耶和华对约伯说话以后,就对毯螅人以利法说,我的怒气向你和你两个朋友发作,因为你们议论我,不如我的仆人约伯说的是。
And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
42:8 现在你们要取七只公牛,七只公羊,到我仆人约伯那里去,为自己献上燔祭,我的仆人约伯就为你们祈祷。我因悦纳他,就不按你们的愚妄办你们。你们议论我,不如我的仆人约伯说的是。
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
42:9 于是毯螅人以利法,书亚人比勒达,拿玛人琐法照着耶和华所吩咐的去行。耶和华就悦纳约伯。
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
42:10 约伯为他的朋友祈祷。耶和华就使约伯从苦境(原文作掳掠)转回,并且耶和华赐给他的,比他从前所有的加倍。
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
42:11 约伯的弟兄,姊妹,和以先所认识的人都来见他,在他家里一同吃饭。又论到耶和华所降与他的一切灾祸,都为他悲伤安慰他。每人也送他一块银子和一个金环。
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
42:12 这样,耶和华后来赐福给约伯比先前更多。他有一万四千羊,六千骆驼,一千对牛,一千母驴。
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
42:13 他也有七个儿子,三个女儿。
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
42:14 他给长女起名叫耶米玛,次女叫基洗亚,三女叫基连哈朴。
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
42:15 在那全地的妇女中,找不着像约伯的女儿那样美貌。她们的父亲使她们在弟兄中得产业。
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
42:16 此后,约伯又活了一百四十年,得见他的儿孙,直到四代。
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
42:17 这样,约伯年纪老迈,日子满足而死。
So Job died, being old and full of days.
约伯记42参考
约伯认识到犯罪了?他为甚么事情求神赦免?
42章 在整本书中,约伯的朋友都劝他承认自己的罪并求赦免。最后约伯终于忏悔了,但是,约伯的忏悔并不是他朋友说的那一种,他没有为犯隐密的罪求赦免,而是为他质问神的主权和正义的态度求赦免。当我们生气地问:“如果神在掌权的话,他怎会让这样的事情发生?”我们就已经犯罪了。我们受时空的限制,不能看到今天以后的事情,我们也无法知道一切事情发生的原因。在你的问题得不到答案的时候,你会不会仍相信神呢?
你是否也像约伯一样承认自己所知甚少、信心不足呢?
42:2-4 约伯引述神先前向他提出的问题(参38:2-3)。他坦然诚实地敬畏神,并且承认自己是愚笨的。你有没有以你不知道的事作为你缺乏信心的藉口呢?向神承认自己对他的信心不足吧。真正的信心始于谦卑的态度。
神不让我们评断他人的原因是甚么?
42:7-8 神清楚地表明约伯朋友的错误。实际上,神并没有提到任何具体的罪,显示神肯定了约伯所说自己过的是敬虔顺服的生活。约伯的朋友在不清楚神工作的情况下,错误地推断说他的痛苦是由罪引起的。我们必须小心地避免评断人,因为神可能以我们不知道的方式工作。
为冤枉自己的人祷告需要极大的爱心,我恐怕……
42:8-10 在受到朋友的许多批评之后,约伯仍能为他们祷告。我们一般很难原谅冤枉我们的人,但约伯做到了。你有没有为那些伤害你的人祷告?你能原谅他们吗?应学习约伯,作神喜悦的人,为那些冤枉我们的人祷告。
善人终有善报,你看约伯不就是个例子……
42:10-11 如果神没有恢复约伯以前的福气,那么约伯记的信息会不会改变?当然不会。无论如何神都在掌权。耶稣说,谁若是为了神的国撇下了甚么,将会得到报偿(参路18:29-30)。我们的报偿,无论是物质还是精神方面的,都不一定与约伯的一样;我们的报偿也可能不在今世实现,但它必然实现。神爱我们,他是公正的。他不仅要恢愎我们失去的一切,我们在永恒中与他同在的时候,他要给我们的比我们想像的还要多。抓紧你的信心去经过所有的试炼,你会得到神的奖励,即使不是现在,也会在将来。
苦难到底与甚么有关?你现在能回答了吧?
42:17 约伯记的主要问题是适时的:为甚么信徒会经历苦难?通过长长的辩论,约伯的聪明朋友也不能回答这个问题。约伯的朋友甚至犯了严重错误,以致被神责备。他们认为苦难来临仅仅因为人们的犯罪。人们今天仍在犯同样的错误,他们把生病或物质的缺乏看成是没有为罪忏悔或缺乏信心的结果。尽管正常情况下,跟随神会得到快乐的人生,反抗神会有不愉快的生命,但这不是必然的。总之,神在掌权。在这个世界里,罪侵蚀了一切,灾难和痛苦可能会同样临到坏人和好人身上。
这并不意味著神漠不关心、不看顾、不公正或没能力保护我们。苦难的发生是因为我们生活在一个堕落的世界里。信徒和非信徒都受到罪恶的悲剧性后果所带来的打击。神让罪恶存在一时,但常常将其转化为我们的益处(参罗8:28)。我们也许不知道神为甚么容忍罪恶,但可以肯定,他是全能的,他知道自己在做甚么。下一次你面临试炼和迷惑的时候,把它们当成求神帮助的机会。你将发现神仅想向你显示他的爱和怜悯。如果你在痛苦、困惑和孤独中信靠他,你将消除疑惑,取得胜利。迷惑、怀疑是撒但在你生活中攻击你的最大立足点。你要以神作你人生的基石,那么你便不会与他的爱隔开。
