14:1 你们是耶和华你们神的儿女。不可为死人用刀划身，也不可将额上剃光。
Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
14:2 因为你归耶和华你神为圣洁的民，耶和华从地上的万民中拣选你特作自己的子民。
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
14:3 凡可憎的物都不可吃。
Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
14:4 可吃的牲畜就是牛，绵羊，山羊，
These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
14:5 鹿，羚羊，狍子，野山羊，麋鹿，黄羊，青羊。
The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
14:6 凡分蹄成为两瓣又倒嚼的走兽，你们都可以吃。
And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
14:7 但那些倒嚼或是分蹄之中不可吃的乃是骆驼，兔子，沙番因为是倒嚼不分蹄，就与你们不洁净。
Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
14:8 猪因为是分蹄却不倒嚼，就与你们不洁净。这些兽的肉，你们不可吃，死的也不可摸。
And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
14:9 水中可吃的乃是这些，凡有翅有鳞的都可以吃。
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
14:10 凡无翅无鳞的都不可吃，是与你们不洁净。
And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
14:11 凡洁净的鸟，你们都可以吃。
Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
14:12 不可吃的乃是雕，狗头雕，红头雕，
But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14:13 鹯，小鹰，鹞鹰与其类，
And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14:14 乌鸦与其类，
And every raven after his kind,
14:15 鸵鸟，夜鹰，鱼鹰，鹰与其类，
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
14:16 鸮鸟，猫头鹰，角鸱，
The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
14:17 鹈鹕，秃雕，鸬鹚，
And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
14:18 鹳，鹭鸶与其类，戴鵀与蝙蝠。
And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
14:19 凡有翅膀爬行的物是与你们不洁净，都不可吃。
And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
14:20 凡洁净的鸟，你们都可以吃。
But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
14:21 凡自死的，你们都不可吃，可以给你城里寄居的吃，或卖与外人吃，因为你是归耶和华你神为圣洁的民。不可用山羊羔母的奶煮山羊羔。
Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
14:22 你要把你撒种所产的，就是你田地每年所出的，十分取一分。
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
14:23 又要把你的五谷，新酒，和油的十分之一，并牛群羊群中头生的，吃在耶和华你神面前，就是他所选择要立为他名的居所。这样，你可以学习时常敬畏耶和华你的神。
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
14:24 当耶和华你神赐福与你的时候，耶和华你神所选择要立为他名的地方若离你太远，那路也太长，使你不能把这物带到那里去，
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
14:25 你就可以换成银子，将银子包起来，拿在手中，往耶和华你神所要选择的地方去。
Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
14:26 你用这银子，随心所欲，或买牛羊，或买清酒浓酒，凡你心所想的都可以买。你和你的家属在耶和华你神的面前吃喝快乐。
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
14:27 住在你城里的利未人，你不可丢弃他，因为他在你们中间无分无业。
And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
14:28 每逢三年的末一年，你要将本年的土产十分之一都取出来，积存在你的城中。
At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
14:29 在你城里无分无业的利未人，和你城里寄居的，并孤儿寡妇，都可以来，吃得饱足。这样，耶和华你的神必在你手里所办的一切事上赐福与你。
And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
申命记14参考
这里所讲难道是敬拜死人？我们的信仰可不会这样的──
14:1 这一节经文所讲的行为是指敬拜死人。许多宗教有敬拜或祭祀死人的习俗。基督教与犹太教和其他宗教有别，都注重人在今生活著事奉神。别因挂虑死者而分心，影响了今生的事奉。
神为甚么不许以色列人吃这些动物？对我们生活的启示是──
14:3-21 神不准以色列人吃某些食物有几个原因：（1）有些食肉的动物会吃别种动物的血，而食腐尸类的动物会吃死去的兽肉。由于以色列人不可以吃血，也不可吃死去的动物，所以他们也不该吃那些吃血和死尸的动物。（2）神禁止他们吃的某些动物，如蝙蝠、蛇、与蜘蛛，跟某些异教邪恶的风俗有关（参赛66:17）。对以色列人来说，不洁净的动物代表罪恶和恶习。（3）有些限制可能是神要叫他们不断牢记，他们与万民有别，是被分别出来专门归与神的。我们现在虽然毋须谨守这些饮食的条例（参徒10:9-16），却能从中学到功课，使我们全面追求圣洁；圣洁不仅局限在灵性方面，也须融入生活，使我们活出圣洁的人生。
不可用山羊的奶煮山羊羔，是出于甚么原因？
14:21 神不准人用山羊的奶来煮山羊羔，这使人想起迦南人为了使人畜多产所行的种种不当的礼仪。神不准人使用本来是喂养生命的东西，反过来杀害生命。（出23:19也提到这条命令。）
你作十一奉献没有？是有了收入后即刻奉献，还是拖到最后？
14:22-23 圣经将十一奉献的目的讲得很清楚──将神放在我们生活的首位。要将所获得的第一份收获，也是最好的归与神，这表明我们对他的敬爱。即时献上最好的，你就能全心全意地信靠他。我们要牢记，自己的一切全属于他，养成十一奉献的习惯，就是把神放在首位，且让他为你安排其他的一切。
你和你的教会在帮助穷乏者方面有哪些具体措施？
14:28-29 在社区中设立眷顾穷人的制度，圣经早有明文。神吩咐他的子民，每三年要将当年收获的十分之一用来帮助无倚无靠、饥饿贫穷的人。这些条例可以防止全地陷入贫穷的深渊，也防止富人欺压穷人。眷顾比自己弱小的人，乃是每个人的责任；家族的成员应当同舟共济，义助族中的穷人，社区则要帮助住在区内的人。国家的法律固然要保护穷人的权益，而帮助穷人也是敬虔生活的积极部分。基督徒当负起供应穷人的责任，要使用神所赐的财物去帮助不幸之人。你要慷慨施舍，帮助贫困的人，如此可叫你尊重神是创造万民的主宰，使别人也同得他的恩惠，吸引人归向他。藉此，信心才能在日常生活中体现出来。
