25:1 以色列人住在什亭，百姓与摩押女子行起淫乱。
And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
25:2 因为这女子叫百姓来，一同给她们的神献祭，百姓就吃她们的祭物，跪拜她们的神。
And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
25:3 以色列人与巴力毗珥连合，耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。
And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
25:4 耶和华吩咐摩西说，将百姓中所有的族长在我面前对着日头悬挂，使我向以色列人所发的怒气可以消了。
And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
25:5 于是摩西吩咐以色列的审判官说，凡属你们的人，有与巴力毗珥连合的，你们各人要把他们杀了。
And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
25:6 摩西和以色列全会众正在会幕门前哭泣的时候，谁知，有以色列中的一个人，当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄那里去。
And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
25:7 祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，
And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
25:8 跟随那以色列人进亭子里去，便将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。
And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
25:9 那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。
And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
25:10 耶和华晓谕摩西说，
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
25:11 祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所发的怒消了。因他在他们中间，以我的忌邪为心，使我不在忌邪中把他们除灭。
Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
25:12 因此，你要说，我将我平安的约赐给他。
Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
25:13 这约要给他和他的后裔，作为永远当祭司职任的约。因他为神，有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。
And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
25:14 那与米甸女人一同被杀的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的儿子，是西缅一个宗族的首领。
Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
25:15 那被杀的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是苏珥的女儿。这苏珥是米甸一个宗族的首领。
And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
25:16 耶和华晓谕摩西说，
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
25:17 你要扰害米甸人，击杀他们。
Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
25:18 因为他们用诡计扰害你们，在毗珥的事上和他们的姊妹，米甸首领的女儿哥斯比的事上，用这诡计诱惑了你们。这哥斯比，当瘟疫流行的日子，因毗珥的事被杀了。
For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake.
民数记25参考
明枪易躲，诱惑难防。我易受至命伤的要害在哪？如何提防？
25:1 这一节经文说明以色列人必须面对的极大挑战。摩西与约书亚所面临的最大危机，不是耶利哥的强大敌军，乃是眼前外邦人的宗教及文化带来的引诱。
行为受观念支配，观念被灵支配，怎样让神掌管才不致被罪控制？
25:1-2 圣经没有说以色列人是怎样与摩押女子行淫乱的。在迦南人的宗教生活中通常有庙妓。以色列人起初只为情欲，并未想过拜偶像，但不久就受不住引诱而敬拜巴力。他们很快就习惯了异教的习俗。这种寻乐之心，使他们的属灵光景一败涂地。你是否放松自己，不去持守圣经的标准，随心所欲任意妄为呢？
罪是撒但的圈套，它引人犯罪的伎俩是……
25:1-3 将性欲的罪恶和拜偶像二者混而为一，正是巴兰的诡计（见31:16，启2:14），这位巴兰刚祝福完以色列民，好像与他们是同路人，使百姓误信他所做的都是正当的事，至少好一段时间大家都这样以为（22-24）；直到巴兰带来重大损害，众人才晓得他是贪婪的术士，是与外邦异教勾结的人。今天我们也要谨慎观人，注意前来在灵性上帮助我们的人是否言行一致。
向假神妥协，耶和华必大怒！
25:3 巴力是迦南地最出名又受欢迎的神，以公牛来代表之，是象徵力量、丰收、雨水与庄稼之神。以色列人在迦南地的时候，敌不过拜巴力与庙妓的引诱，惹耶和华大发怒气。
神发怒，人痛悔，首领心利仍行淫，如何处置？
25:6 “到他兄弟那里去”这句话若译为“带到他的内室去”更佳，这是指心利带她到帐棚中行淫。心利轻视诫命，终遭神怒。
义怒，理当发之如非尼哈；可是我们的怒气多数是……
25:10-11 从非尼哈的这件事中我们清楚看到，有时人的怒气也是恰当且合理的；非尼哈为耶和华发义怒。不过我们怎样才知道自己的怒气是理所当然的，又在甚么情况之下才要抑制呢？在你发怒之前，先想想下面的问题：（1）我为甚么发怒？（2）是我，还是别人的权利受到损害？（3）真理（神的原则）是否被破坏？如果只是为了个人的得失，就要控制你的怒气，以智慧行事。如果是为真理力争，发怒是理所当然的。不过以暴力与报复来发泄怒气的话，通常都是错误的（非尼哈这件事是特例）。我们应当为罪而发义怒，使我们愈加像神。
非尼哈的行动，带来了美好的结果──
25:12-13 非尼哈的行动，赎了以色列人全族的罪，使神不再惩罚他们。神更立他的子孙作以色列人的大祭司。
