2:1 我又举目观看，见一人手拿准绳。
I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2:2 我说，你往那里去。他对我说，要去量耶路撒冷，看有多宽多长。
Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
2:3 与我说话的天使去的时候，又有一位天使迎着他来，
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
2:4 对他说，你跑去告诉那少年人说，耶路撒冷必有人居住，好像无城墙的乡村，因为人民和牲畜甚多。
And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
2:5 耶和华说，我要作耶路撒冷四围的火城，并要作其中的荣耀。
For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
2:6 耶和华说，我从前分散你们在天的四方。（原文作犹如天的四风），现在你们要从北方之地逃回。这是耶和华说的。
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
2:7 与巴比伦人同住的锡安民哪，应当逃脱。
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
2:8 万军之耶和华说，在显出荣耀之后，差遣我去惩罚那掳掠你们的列国。摸你们的，就是摸他眼中的瞳人。
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
2:9 看哪，我（或作他）要向他们抡手，他们就必作服事他们之人的掳物，你们便知道万军之耶和华差遣我了。
For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
2:10 锡安城阿，应当欢乐歌唱，因为我来要住在你中间。这是耶和华说的。
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
2:11 那时，必有许多国归附耶和华，作他（原文作我）的子民。他（原文是我）要住在你中间，你就知道万军之耶和华差遣我到你那里去了。
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
2:12 耶和华必收回犹大作他圣地的分，也必再拣选耶路撒冷。
And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
2:13 凡有血气的，都当在耶和华面前静默无声。因为他兴起，从圣所出来了。
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
撒迦利亚书2参考
准绳是……
2:1 手拿准绳之人象徵百姓归回、重建耶路撒冷的盼望，他要量出根基的四界（参1:16；耶31:38-40）。
有家不能回和有家不回，两者的区别不言自明……
2:6-7 许多被掳的犹太人没有归回耶路撒冷，他们选择留在巴比伦，贪享当地的财富和安全。但撒迦利亚叫他们要快快地离开那里。这是一个紧急的呼吁，因为巴比伦快要被毁灭了，而且巴比伦那侈靡的习俗，会使神的子民忘记将属灵的事摆在首位。可惜大多数的以色列人不听警告，仍然留在巴比伦。
神看子民如他眼中的瞳人，我们怎么看其他弟兄姊妹──
2:8 在神的眼中，基督徒非常宝贵（参诗116:15），是他所爱的儿女（参诗103:13）。所以亏待任何基督徒就等于亏待神。耶稣曾告诉门徒，说我们帮助别人，就是帮助他；我们不理或凌辱别人，也就等于不理或凌辱他（参太25:34-46）。所以我们要小心，我们怎样对待弟兄姊妹，也就是怎样对待神。
神住在百姓中间，是指末世吗？
2:9-12 “我”（2:9）可能指弥赛亚而言，他在末后要审判所有欺压神子民的人。神应许要住在他百姓中间，必有多国的人认识他（参约1:14；启21:3）。
必有许多国归附耶和华──神对亚伯拉罕的应许，难道应验了？
2:11-12 神没有忘记他对亚伯拉罕所说的话：“地上的万族都要因你得福”（创12:3）。亚伯拉罕是以色列民族之祖，神应许他的后裔要福泽全人类。自从弥赛亚耶稣降世以来，这个应许就应验了──万族皆藉著他而来到神面前。
