9:1 他向我耳中大声喊叫说，要使那监管这城的人手中各拿灭命的兵器前来。
He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
9:2 忽然有六个人从朝北的上门而来，各人手拿杀人的兵器。内中有一人身穿细麻衣，腰间带着墨盒子。他们进来，站在铜祭坛旁。
And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
9:3 以色列神的荣耀本在基路伯上，现今从那里升到殿的门槛。神将那身穿细麻衣，腰间带着墨盒子的人召来。
And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
9:4 耶和华对他说，你去走遍耶路撒冷全城，那些因城中所行可憎之事叹息哀哭的人，画记号在额上。
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
9:5 我耳中听见他对其馀的人说，要跟随他走遍全城，以行击杀。你们的眼不要顾惜，也不要可怜他们。
And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
9:6 要将年老的，年少的，并处女，婴孩，和妇女，从圣所起全都杀尽，只是凡有记号的人不要挨近他。于是他们从殿前的长老杀起。
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
9:7 他对他们说，要污秽这殿，使院中充满被杀的人。你们出去吧。他们就出去，在城中击杀。
And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
9:8 他们击杀的时候，我被留下，我就俯伏在地，说，哎。主耶和华阿，你将忿怒倾在耶路撒冷，岂要将以色列所剩下的人都灭绝吗。
And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
9:9 他对我说，以色列家和犹大家的罪孽极其重大。遍地有流血的事，满城有冤屈，因为他们说，耶和华已经离弃这地，他看不见我们。
Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
9:10 故此，我眼必不顾惜，也不可怜他们，要照他们所行的报应在他们头上。
And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
9:11 那穿细麻衣，腰间带着墨盒子的人将这事回覆说，我已经照你所吩咐的行了。
And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.

第9章的审判是以哪一种方式发出？
9章 这一章是要来临的审判画面。在以西结看到耶路撒冷变得腐败之后，神叫一个人留下忠诚的少数人，然后这个人叫了六个人杀了城中的恶人。这是神下令进行的审判（9:5-7）。
腰悬墨盒子是表明文士的身分，这个盒子在当时的用途是怎样的？
9:2 “墨盒子”在以西结时代是件很普通的东西。它包括一条窄长的板，上面有个槽沟可以盛芦杆毛笔，这枝笔用来在羊皮纸、纸莎草、或乾泥上写字。板上还有个凹陷的地方，用来装黑墨和红墨块，在使用之前要把它们弄湿。
基路伯是哪一种天使？基路伯的临在有何象徵的意义？
9:3 基路伯是被造来荣耀神的大能天使。他们与神绝对的圣洁和完美道德密切相关。亚当夏娃犯罪之后（参创3:24）神为了不让亚当和夏娃再进伊甸园去，便把基路伯放在了伊甸园东面的入口处。基路伯的像用来装饰会幕和圣殿。约柜的盖叫“施恩座”，在上面有两个金基路伯（参出37:6-9）。这是神同在的象徵。当以西结看到基路伯同荣耀的神离开圣殿时（第10章），认出它们就是他在第一个异象中看见的活物（参1章）。
甚么是神的荣耀？我的生活是否也在彰显神的荣耀？
9:3 神的荣耀是甚么？神的荣耀是神本性的显现：终极的权柄、超然的存在和完美的道德。神虽完全超越了人的极限，但还是向我们显示了自己，使我们可以敬拜和跟随他。
墨盒是用来为对神忠心、为罪哀伤的人涂上记号；纵在审判中，神亦保守与拯救？
9:4-5 神告诉带墨盒的人给忠于神的人涂上记号。他们是否忠心，是以他们对民族犯下的罪是否有认识和伤心来决定的。带记号的人，在那六个人开始除灭恶人的时候，就被保存下来。在出埃及的时候，以色列人在门楣上涂血为记号，以此来救他们脱离死亡。在末日，神会将记号印在那些得救赎的人身上（参启7:3）。撒但也会给它的追随者涂标记（参启13:16-17），不信主的人都像撒但一样注定要灭亡。神惩罚罪的时候，是不会忘记保守百姓的应许的。
神的审判为甚么会由殿前的长老开始？这对我的事奉有何警醒？
9:6 以色列属灵的领袖（“长老”）明目张胆地推行拜偶像。结果百姓离弃神跟随了偶像。属灵的领袖负有教导百姓真理的特殊责任（参雅3:1），可是他们背离真理，领无数的人远离了神，甚至使一个民族远离神而遭到了毁灭。神开始对这个民族审判是从圣殿开始然后才向外，这并不奇怪（参彼前4:17），因为圣殿应该是他们教导神的真理的地方，可他们却在那里传授假道，这多么令人伤心啊。
短暂的苦难，竟化为对神的埋怨，最终成为不断犯罪的藉口。人为甚么会……
9:9-10 百姓说神已离弃了这块土地，看不到他们的罪了。“没关系”，“谁都这样做”，或者“没人知道”，这样的解释使他们更容易犯罪。我们有没有为自己的罪开脱呢？使犯罪合理化会使人更容易犯罪，但这种合理化并不能说服神，也不能取消神对罪的惩罚。
